1st June 2003 Exposer/Imposer rebadged - The Exposer and Imposer products have been upgraded and enhanced to include support for Advantage Gen 6.5. They now operate as plug-ins as well as standalone. 12th February 2002 DBA2ERwin 2.2 released - Following the release of ERwin 4.0 Service Pack 2, a new version of DBA2ERwin has been made available. As well as improved DBA and BusinessTeam model conversions, this version offers the new Synchronize feature. 8th August 2001 Exposer 6.0 released - Version 6.0 of Imposer, the COOL:Gen documentation tool and developers assistant, is now available. This is a major new version incorporating a host of new features. Exposer 6 supports COOL:Gen 6.0 and MS Office XP as well as earlier versions. Click here

20th May 2001 DBA2ERwin supports ERwin 4.0 and BusinessTeam - A new version of the DBA2ERwin bridge is now available to convert COOL:DBA and COOL:BusinessTeam models to ERwin via an ERwin 4.0 add-in. For more information click here

25th Feb 2000 Rainier join CBD Customer Advisory Board - Rainier have joined the 90+ members of the Component Based Development CAB with the aim of both assisting and learning from them. Rainier's CBD tool support has already benefitted greatly in the past from contributions made by some of the CAB members.

20th Nov 1998 Exposer 4.1.006 released - Another enhancement release free to licensed users of earlier 4.x versions. This version includes more CBD documentation and analysis capabilities, including a new Action Diagram Structure TreeView feature. CBD Filters allow component and operation structure to be analysed.

20th Nov 1998 COOL:Gen 5.0 compatibility - All Rainier products now certified to work with COOL:Gen 5.0 without any upgrades required. This includes EXPOSER as well as the RainierFun OLE servers.

22nd Sep 1998 COOL:Gen PTF released to fix earlier PTF bug - The earlier reported problem with COOL:Gen GUI Runtime PTFs RTN4125 through RTN4130 has been fixed by a new PTF RTN4132. For more information click here.

9th Jul 1998 WinFun reaches 100 - In response to User requests more and more useful functions have been added to WinFun. The latest version, uploaded to this website today, contains over 100 functions to help you build more powerful, more professional and more integrated GUI interfaces with COOL:Gen. Amongst the new additions are functions which allow you to find and click buttons and menu items on any window on the desktop, build more complex dynamic menus on your COOL:Gen client windows, and support application version control at runtime through file date and timestamping. How long can you afford NOT to use this essential action diagram add-in?

30th Jun 1998 Exposer 4.1.005 released - This version supports creation of CBD Component Specification Documents from implementation as well as specification models - a major step forward in Component publishing. Also included in this version is support for additional CBD information and other Action Diagram properties. In line with the Rainier policy of providing ongoing improvements at no charge this version is free to licensed users of earlier 4.x versions.

23rd Apr 1998 COOL:Gen PTF alert for Users of RainierFun components - There is a problem with COOL:Gen GUI Runtime PTFs RTN4109 and later RTN41nn versions which affects users of WinFun, WordFun, ExcelFun and MailFun. For more information click here.

8th Apr 1998 New GUI functions added to WinFun - WinFun now includes additional window control functions to prevent window moving and/or resizing; to allow the display of windows with no caption bar; and to enable 'Always On Top' windows. These new functions are now incorporated in the downloadable trial versions.

26th Jan 1998 Exposer supports CBD96 Version 2 - COOL:Gen Component Specification Models can now be analysed by EXPOSER for conformance to Version 2 of the CBD96 standards, as well as Version 1.

19th Jan 1998 Dynamic menus for your Composer/COOL windows - As well as supporting right-click popup menus, WinFun now allows you to quickly and simply customise your menus at runtime by completely hiding menu items from the user (as opposed to just greying them out). You can now offer different menus to different User Groups, or show different sets of options according to the state of the data in the database.

19th Jan 1998 Updated RainierFun trial versions available for download - Now fully compatible with Composer 4.0, 4.1 and COOL:Gen 4.1a.

16th Dec 1997 Exposer 4.1 now available - The new version of EXPOSER is now available for download from the Rainier secure download area. Now includes generation of window bitmaps and sophisticated system documentation, support for all window controls, and more. Visit the EXPOSER page and see the new features for full information. This is a FREE upgrade for all Exposer 4.0 users.

21st Nov 1997 Sterling release important PTF for COOL:Gen - COOL:Gen 4.1a users can now use all the RainierFun OLE servers without problems, thanks to the release of PTF TSN4108. This fixes the code generation problems which meant that manual editing of generated code was required. All RainierFun servers now work as well with COOL:Gen as they did with Composer 4. The PTF is available for download from the Sterling Customer Support website (secure).

Office 97 now fully supported - Rainier products now certified to work with Word 97 and Excel 97 as well as Word 6.0/95 and Excel 5.0/95. This applies to Exposer 4 versions 4.0.027 and later, WordFun versions 1.0.018 and later and ExcelFun versions 1.0.018 and later.

Popup menus for your Composer/COOL windows - WinFun now offers 2 new functions to generate popup menus. Add a fully functional right click popup menu to your window or control with just 2 lines of Action Diagram code. Also new in WinFun is key monitoring - use that Print Screen key in your application! WinFun is an OLE server which offers a wide range of functions giving you control over the Windows environment.

Office 97 now supported by Exposer 4. Applies to versions 4.0.027 and later.

Direct Client/Server Encyclopedia access now incorporated in EXPOSER 4. Get your data into EXPOSER from model reports, from DAT files or from a CSE.

CBD support now included in EXPOSER 4. Automatic generation of CBD96 Component Specification Documents.
