ModelReporter (formerly known as Exposer) is an assistant for systems developers who work with the Advantage Gen
(formerly COOL:Gen) suite of application development tools from Computer Associates. To find out more about

ModelReporter is a Windows-based tool for Advantage Gen (formerly COOL:Gen) developers and project
managers which brings the power of Microsoft Office to the Advantage Gen development
environment. It is a documentation and reporting tool, as well as a model analysis,
quality assurance and developer productivity tool.
ModelReporter works with the Advantage Gen developer workstation software to extract,
store and manipulate information from Advantage Gen models via a Microsoft Access
compatible database (note that Access itself is not required). It does not
require any Host or Local Encyclopedia access - anyone with the Advantage Gen workstation software,
ModelReporter and Microsoft Office on their PC has immediate
access to ModelReporter features. Developers can get the information they need
when they need it.
ModelReporter extracts data from Advantage Gen models and stores it in an Access compatible
database. This is a quick and easy process using ModelReporter's intuitive graphical
interface. The data is extracted using the Toolset and Encyclopedia APIs
which come as part of the Advantage Gen product. ModelReporter creates Word
and Excel reports or extracts by querying the Access database.
A large number of standard extracts can be created in different formats.
There are also powerful custom reporting and specification creation capabilities.
Although the Access database is very much 'behind the scenes', its format
is open and documented and users can go directly to it if they desire.
ModelReporter does a lot more than just produce excellent model documentation.
It allows you to analyse your model in a variety of ways and verify that
it conforms to your own in-house development standards.
