Main Window - Direct Model Access Mode

In this mode data in the KM file is accessed directly but not retained following report creation. This is the most common mode of operation when one simply needs a report or specification to be created and does not wish BizReporter to retain the model information for future use.
Above, the COOL:Biz file CONFRNCE.KM file has been opened and BizReporter is now ready to create reports.
Main Window - Data Storage Mode

In this mode data from one or more KM files (or versions of KM files) is loaded into a BizReporter database. Once it is stored all the report creations functions available in Direct Model Access mode may be used. In addition it is now possible to compare information in the different Report Sets (or model snapshots). As databases created in this way are persistent they can be archived and as they are in Microsoft Access (.mdb) format they can also be manipulated externally.
Above, the BizReporter database TEST.MDB has been opened. It contains information from 3 versions of the CONFRNCE model and one version of the MRKTING model.
Standard Report Selection

Standard Reports are divided into various categories. There are over 250 different types of report to choose from and most are available in multiple formats.
Standard Report Options

Each standard report offers various options. All Word, Excel and HTML reports are template based meaning that you can make them look just how you want.
Object Selection

Narrow down the scope of the report to those objects which interest you and click OK. The report is built from the base data by BizReporter. See the sample output for examples of reports.
Report Data Preview

If you just need to see the data in a tabular format you can view it immediately using the Preview function.
Custom Queries and Quick SQL

You can define your own Custom Queries around the types of data you choose, and save them. Or if you are familiar with SQL you can run ad-hoc queries with the QuickSQL function and the BizReporter relational database structure.

Specifications

Specifications are combination Word documents made up from standard and/or custom reports fitted into a master template. See the sample output for examples. This feature is also used to build QA or completeness checking reports - define queries relating to the checks you want to make and build them into a combination report specific to your in-house standards.
Model Compare

Model compare functions let you compare selected object types across models. See the sample output for an example of a Model Compare report in Word.
Object Hierarchy Tree Viewer

The Hierarchy Viewer lets you quickly browse object decompositions.
